As a previous bride herself, ShaTerra uses that to her advantage to personalize with her bridal clients and provides a soothing effect that just comes naturally.

Also, she has worked with well-known creative talent such as former America’s Next Top Model contestant, Laura Kirkpatrick. Lean In Dayton: Tell us a little about you.

I am the owner and head artist of my own makeup and hair design company, ShaTerra Jenkins Makeup Artistry, LLC located in Oakwood. We specialize in bridal, boudoir, special events, prom, high school senior portraits, and more. We provide upscale services to cater to the demands of clients that seek an exclusive service experience. We proudly serve our clients throughout the Dayton, Columbus, Cincinnati, and Northern Kentucky areas. I am also a licensed massage therapist and soon-to-be a licensed nail technician and licensed esthetician. I also am a certified lash specialist for Xtreme Lashes, offering lash extensions. I love the beauty and wellness industry so I love to go above and beyond for my clients.

Lean In Dayton: What are some of your dreams and ambitions?

My dream is to eventually open my own full-service salon/spa maybe in the next 5-10 years - or sooner if God allows. I want to be great at what I do, help educate the everyday woman on how to take care of herself and help build her confidence. We are powerful and need to stick together! We are beautiful!

Lean In Dayton: What career and/or academic achievement are you most proud of?

I am proud of starting my own business and achieving goals that most didn't expect me to do. I love being able to do anything that I set out to accomplish.
